[Upon hearing that at least one particular rumor is true, Rydia wastes no time in reaching Fabul Castle. It's time to see the sylphs, and remind them of their promise. Well, almost. First, she wants to see them in action, so the summoner will head over to where she knows the monks will be training and teaching.

She might also check to see if Kain is ready to go, afterward. The situation with the dragons has her anxious, and despite her issues with him, he's the best person to speak with them.]

[There's a rather loud group of young androgynous children in monk clothes to one side. The other monks seem to regard them as a distraction and are ignoring them. One of them slams their fist into a rock, with little success.]

Ow! Ow ow owwwww...

[Rydia winces at that, and she can't help but head over.]

You know, maybe that's not something you should be mimicking. Need a potion?

We're good, we're good!

[The child blows on their now-bloody had, closing the cuts, befoe another child whispers something in their ear. But they're not particularly good at whispering, and the word 'disguise' is easy enough to hear.]

Oh, right! Uh! Turns out I didn't get hurt after all, I was just confused.

[Rydia smirks. Caught.]

Really? It certainly sounded like you were hurt.

Really, really confused!

[The child shoots a pleading look back to their companions for backup, but they shake their heads as one. They know they've been caught out.]

Uh...hello, Rydia.

[She chuckles, glad they're letting the act drop.]

Hello. You know, I've missed you. I even went to visit your home. What's kept you in Fabul so long?

[They huddle together, apparently having a group vote on who should speak for them. Eventually, the child who hurt themself before gets shoved out of the huddle. Being responsible for ruining the act means they're on explaining duty.]

We're looking for Master Yang...

[That earns her sympathy, and she crouches down so they don't have to look up quite so much.]

I've been looking for him, too. But I'm sure the moment he returns, we'll hear about it. Those moogles have been giving linkshells to everyone. He won't keep us in the dark.

We want to get strong like him, so he'll be proud when he comes back!

[...never mind that he'd probably be less than proud of them abandoning their home.]

You already have your own strength, though. I'm sure he would understand that you have to protect your own home.

...but we don't want to go back. It's fun here! We get to kick rocks!

[She's caught between amused and knowing she shouldn't encourage them.]

Stay on the surface, then...but at least come to me when I call you? I've missed you all, and I'm sure I'll need your help in the future.

[What else is Kain doing but training? Though Terra has sort of forced him to limit how long he spends on it. A bit annoying, but he's willing to humor her. Mostly.]

[He lands rather shakily and then pauses to catch his breath. Well... he's improving every day, though not nearly as fast as he would have it.]

[Rydia watches him, concerned despite herself. She doesn't like seeing him weakened, even if he can be a pill. She crosses her arms, wondering if it was a good idea to seek him out while he's still recovering.]

Kain....

[Kain is startled at first, but then he turns to see...]

Rydia...

[The best way to tolerate her, he's found, is to just get right to the point.]

You've come so we can go to the dragons.

[She nods, just as fine with being blunt.]

Yes. More are gathering around Mist as we speak.

They're impatient... or the problem is worsening. When do we leave?

Now, if that's fine with you. It's not ask though I'm asking you to fight; just talk with them.

It's fine... I figured you would be coming for this reason soon. I'm ready.

[Kain makes sure he's acting all tough and strong anyway, just because.]

Good. Then gather whatever and whoever you want to bring, and let's go. I don't want to wait.

Terra will come as well. [As if there was any question on that.] There's not much I'll need to bring, so it won't take long.

[She nods, not caring who he brings along as long as he just comes.]

Alright. Meet me at the castle entrance?

Very well. We'll be there.

[Rydia nods, and turns to go, to await them there. She has little patience for anything else right now.]

[It's not like this training session was going anywhere, anyway. Kain heads off to go get his things and inform Terra. They must prepare to set off.]
